The two-day long child journalism training was organized at Thanchi from 12th to 13th September 2021 with 20 child journalism team members, three field facilitators, and 3 projects staff of LRP 34.

ActionAid Bangladesh is always committed to ensuring child rights and their development. From this commitment Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) the partner organization of ActionAid Bangladesh is implementing various types of activities; one of them is networking meetings with the Local Press and Community Journalists Group (CJG) on 19th September 2021.

ActionAid provides a platform for children to write and express themselves by formatting individual community Journalist groups at each of its working areas. Via this group children try to collect their community news which they can publish in their community newsletter every year.

To inspire inner talent, creativity, and mental development of children, the Child Sponsorship Team from AAB arranged different fun and skill-building initiatives during this coronavirus pandemic. From such an endeavor, drawing training was organized for the children at LRP-48.

Child Sponsorship Unit of ActionAid Bangladesh observed the National Mourning Day on 15 August 2021. It commemorates the murder of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, known as the 'Father of the Nation' on this day in 1975.

Very recently Child Sponsorship Team of AAB organized a drawing competition for children, where children sit at home and draw their thought. The main theme of this drawing competition was "COVID-19 in the eyes of children".

To ensure meaningful participation of children, ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) forms a Child forum for children between the ages of 10 to 18 years old. By developing leadership quality among the members of the Child Forum, usually, AAB takes different steps for the improvement of the situation of child rights and child protection.
