This year, Children of Ghoraghat celebrated Child Rights Week through different activities. This time, they focused on street drama presentation as through this, the image of the society can be beautifully displayed. As easily as drama leaves a mark on people's minds, no medium can. So, they decided to portray the image & problems of their area through a street drama.

Jim (05), a young girl, reading in class two, was very happy to take part in the picnic and shared, “We are very happy that ActionAid Bangladesh arranged this picnic for us. Me and my friends participate in the games. We enjoy a lot. On behalf of all I would cordially thanks to ActionAid to gift us an enjoyable day”.

After a grassroots competition at local levels, 24 children in eight groups from the working areas of the 08 Local Rights Programme (LRP) took part in the Quarter Final Round online debate competition on 03 October 2022.

The main objective of the Child Rights Week 2022 celebrations at Lalua-Champapur was to promote child development through sports. Sports is a means of personal development that can serve as a vehicle for the psychological, physical, cognitive, and social development of those who practice it. It reduces stress, improves the quality of sleep, prevents diseases, and has been helpful in the therapy of several chronic diseases. Additionally, it is also the source of growing interest in taking care of oneself and staying healthy.

Like previous years, ActionAid Bangladesh has collaborated on child rights week with partner organizations in organizing different events and activities in its various intervention areas across Bangladesh with children.
