Marking the World Refugee Day 2019, GIHA in association with several United Nations bodies, refugee agency and other voluntary organizations organized an exhibition showcasing artwork from women and girls of the Rohingya community living in the Rohingya camps. 



ActionAid Bangladesh in partnership with other INGOs and NGOs took part in the event titled ‘Rohingya Refugee Women and Girls’ Art and Handcrafts Exhibition and Fair’ at Gulshan, Dhaka.

ActionAid Bangladesh has been responding the Rohingya crisis and primarily working to ensure the protection of women, adolescent girls and children by establishing Women Safe Spaces (WSS) where the women and girls not only receive support for their basic needs but also get training on different skill development trainings including sewing and handicrafts. 

In this exhibition, AAB represented the beautiful artworks and handicrafts done by the Rohingya women and girls of Camps 11 and 12, those AAB is responsible for site management.  

The collection included beaded accessories, dress, clothes, home decors and others.
