LRP 41 arranged programs on world children’s day on 7th of October 2021 at Chittagong Shishu Academy (Chittagong Children’s academy) to ensure children’s participation through different cultural programs, discussion sessions etc. The District Child Affairs Officer of Chittagong Shishu Academy was present as the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the event by flying balloons with all the child participants. The children started their program with the national anthem. An exhibition of 30 selected images which were drawn by the children was arranged. Children participated in reciting poems, patriotic songs, quiz competitions. A puppet show was organized consisting of messages on child rights. In the end of the program, child hearing was arranged to hear children’s voices. And then, the end of the program was announced.

One of the participants, a 14-year-old child Palash said, “we celebrate child rights week every year. But this year, it was a little bit different for me as this time, I have participated in a stage drama to show all the bad impacts of global warming. We try to let other know that trees are our friend. We need to plant more & more trees to save our world from global warming”.

Liza (13-year-old girl) said, “I participated in drawing competition. I love drawing pictures and color on it. I feel great to share my thoughts, my feelings through drawing. This was arranged as a part of Child Rights week. I know what my right as a child is. I try to share my learning with others”.
