‘Impact of Climate Change on Women and Girls and Their Resilient Approach’

Background:

ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) has been working in solidarity with the socio-political and economically excluded people for eradicating poverty and ensuring justice. Climate resilience and justice is one of the priorities of AAB which works to strengthen leadership of vulnerable communities, especially women and girls that contributes to resilience and facilitate social justice movements for environmental justice, including climate justice at all levels.

AAB is going to celebrate International Women’s Day-2022 under the theme ‘Women’s Leadership in Climate Justice’ through a set of events. Therefore, ActionAid Bangladesh has taken an initiative for a virtual photo exhibition on ‘Impact of Climate Change on Women and Girls and Their Resilient Approach’.

Objective:

Climate change is now widely recognised as one of the greatest threats and women and girls are notably victim of the climate change. AAB wants to bring forth the stories of women and girls and highlight how climate change put impact on their live and livelihood as well as to depict their resilience approach to climate changes with photographs through the virtual photo exhibition. The intention behind organising this virtual photo exhibition is to make the people sensitised and  aware of impact of climate change  on women and girls.
