Youth-Led Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Initiatives in Bangladesh and Myanmar

The Youth-Led Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Project in Bangladesh addresses socio-political challenges by focusing on the conflict-ridden relationship between host and Rohingya communities. This initiative empowers youth and local organizations to lead peacebuilding efforts, fostering social cohesion and resilience. By enhancing the capacity of youth-led groups, particularly women, the project aims to tackle the root causes of conflict and promote sustainable peace. The project will involve youth change agents, individual youth peacebuilders, activists, and civil society organizations, empowering them to promote peaceful coexistence. ActionAid Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED), leverages its community mobilization and advocacy experience, applying a Human Rights-Based Approach and feminist lens to ensure inclusive and transformative interventions.
