ActionAid Bangladesh is always committed to ensuring child rights and their development. From this commitment Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) the partner organization of ActionAid Bangladesh is implementing various types of activities; one of them is networking meetings with the Local Press and Community Journalists Group (CJG) on 19th September 2021. This Programme is organized by the Phulbari Press Club and supported by USS and ActionAid Bangladesh. To share experiences and networking building among the Community Journalist Groups (CJG) & Press club members. And to increase the capacity building among the community journalist groups members on news/story collection and publication through press club, the meeting was held.
Md. Emdadul Hoque Million, President of Phulbari Press Club was played the role of chair, and Md. Kaykobad Hossain, Project Coordinator (PC) of USS delivered a welcome speech at the networking meeting. During his speeches, he welcomed all the audiences and press club members to make the session successful to establish the rights of the children. Five community Journalist members and five local journalists have taken part in the discussion session. Discussed topics in this meeting are, major challenges and mitigation measures of journalism in the present situation, the major technique to write qualitative news, the process to develop the skill and knowledge of Community Journalist Groups members, way forward on Linkage, and supporting role of mechanism with CJG and Press club. After completing the Networking meeting than started the open discussion session. After completing the fruitful discussion, Press Club and CJG agreed to a common understanding of the networking meeting which are:
