Associate Officer – Reporting and Documentation

Project                        :     Sustainable Solutions and Protection for the Rohingya Community in Camps 10, 11 and 12 funded by UNHCR

Job Context

ActionAid is implementing Community Based Protection (CBP) project with UNHCR targeting 88,185 refugees of camp 10, 11 & 12, situated in Balukhali of Kutupalong expansion site in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazaar. The targeted camps have been identified as areas with heightened protection risks. The project includes Women’s Leadership, Accountability and Shifting the Power to communities for transformative change.

AAB CBP aims to strengthen and expand the mobilisation of the Rohingya communities through their capacity development also through building their agencies.

 

Key responsibilities include (not limited to)

Documentation and Reporting

  • Assist in reviewing and providing project documents, work plans and ensuring the compliance with the Strategic Plan and AAB policies as part of for quality assurance.
  • Ensure timely submission of project quarterly reports, annual reports, etc. from implementing partners or project staff.
  • Support in capturing and documenting good practices, change story and case stories.
  • Asist in capturing project learning through review of field notes and support in workshop documentation for capturing learning
  • Provide secretariat and coordination support of programme meetings, project steering & other meetings. Managing all documentations of the project.

 

Assist MEAL Team

  • Cooperate and support M&E team on information database system update
  • Participate in especial M&E events e.g., survey, workshop, other relevant project trainings
  • Support MEAL team in developing monitoring and supervision tools for the program align with other Collective Impact for community-based protection
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of activities and target achievements
  • Identify new research theme of community-based protection approach.

 

Accountability and Learning

  • Work as a group to establish accountability system in the working area for all project and working area as per Accountability in Emergency Guideline
  • Assist in data collection and management for Accountability report Preparation
  • Assist MEAL coordinator for information dissemination to the community, developing Prepare leaning report and communicate with Project Manager, MEAL Manager and Head of Operation.


Relationships

The person holds this position will be reportable to Project Coordinator of this project.


Required Educational Qualification and Experiences

Education

  • A university degree, preferably a graduate degree in relevant subject areas social sciences, development studies, statistics or a related discipline.


Experience

  • At least 2 years or more of sound experience in development sector
  • Extensive hands on experience and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Experience with community based and/or volunteer organizations is an advantage.


Required Competencies

  • Knowledge of MS Access, SPSS or similar database management/statistical software package
  • Ability to work independently and foster a team spirit.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Skills in report writing, documentation and presentation.
  • Gender sensitive and familiar with humanitarian principles, Human Rights Based Approach.
  • Good knowledge of using internet and software packages (i.e. MS Office, etc).
