Emergency Response
ActionAid Bangladesh provided humanitarian assistance to 16,126 people as a response to flash floods in 2022, to support the affected families in maintaining their dignity and meeting the immediate needs The humanitarian assistance included multi-purpose cash grants, shelter repairment, food and non-food support, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) assistance, as well as support for addressing gender-based violence in emergencies. It helped the affected households to meet their immediate needs as well as withstand the impact of the flood without resorting to negative coping mechanisms.
