ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) has been implementing “Making Market Work for Women (MMWW)” supported by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands since November 2015. The overall objective of the project is “Strengthening Food Security in Bangladesh by Making Market Work for Women”. The project is working on improving systemic market behaviour towards women entrepreneurs and increasing capacity of women entrepreneurs for competing with the existing market environment. Besides, the project also works for improving knowledge, attitude and practice of women entrepreneurs on SRHR and Nutrition which is impediment of creating market intelligence to enter into competitive market. At this point, project has made much progress for promoting women entrepreneurs. The main purpose of the study is to assess the present situation of community-based market spaces (collection point and market sheds) and develop the strategy to make those functional and sustainable.
